About the Club

We have been here for over a hundred years and enjoy playing at the foot of Hambledon Hill thanks to the generosity of Ranston Estate. Our senior team plays in the Dorset League and we have several junior teams as well with junior coaching evenings on Fridays during school termtime.

Teams & Players

Senior teams play in the Saturday Dorset League and in the Ranston Evening League on Wednesdays.
Our Juniors (Under 9, 11, 13 & 15) play in the respective league and cup games. These teams are mixed as are the Friday evening coaching sessions.

Membership & Joining

There is no fee-paying membership of the club, just match and coaching fees.
All players of all ages are welcome to use the net and welcome at the clubhouse when cricket is taking place.
All juniors are welcome at our coaching evenings, there are no entry qualifications other than a desire to take part and have a go.

Training & Coaching

The Friday evening sessions are led by qualified coaches with members of the first team present as well. The sessions are divided by age and/or ability as appropriate.
The sessions are designed to encourage the youngest to have ago and then provide a pathway to senior cricket. The programme has been running for several years now and members of the first ever cohort have now made their way into the senior team.
